Advantage of Sommone™ app is that only the admin user (sommelier or winemaker) needs to download the app. The guest of the Restaurant / Winery / Venue doesn´t need to download anything to their phone in advance and they will still be able to receive the Sommone™ app generated files with all information about the wine, food or other drinks served/presented to them.
NFC is usually enabled by the default phone setting. If that is not the case, please advise the guest to activate NFC if you would like to use "Transfer through tag" function inside Sommone™ app.
Otherwise, there are several other options that can be used for transferring the PDF information without using Sommone™ corkscrew or NFC function.

ACTIVATION OPTION 1:
REGISTER ACCOUNT AND CONNECT THE APP TO YOUR SOMMONE™ CORKSCREW
(if you choose to purchase Sommone™ corkscrew for enabling function with transfer by taping guests/visitors/customers phone)

a) purchase Sommone™ corkscrew through sommone.com if you would like to use "Transfer through tag" function inside Sommone™ app.

b) download the Sommone™ app and register your account by filling in the registration form inside Sommone™ app.
After purchasing Sommone™ corkscrew, account activation code will be delivered together with purchase confirmation email. To complete the registration and start using Sommone™ app, enter received unique activation code in account registration field.

c) connect your corkscrew with your account buy pressing on the "Gear" button in upper right corner inside Sommone™ app and choosing "Activate Tag".
Tap your Sommone™ corkscrew tag (the black tag on the front head of your SommOne corkscrew) with the back of your Android Phone* or the front top of your iPhone*.

Different Android Phone models have NFC readers built in on different positions of the back side of the Phone. Most of the time it is found in the middle of the back side of an Android Phone or next to the camera.

Please note that NFC needs to be enabled on your Phone and on the guests Phone for NFC tag to be recognized.

REGISTER ACCOUNT WITHOUT CONNECTING THE APP TO A SOMMONE™ CORKSCREW
(if you choose not to purchase Sommone™ corkscrew for enabling function with transfer by taping guests/visitors/customers phone)

a) download the Sommone™ app and register your account by filling in the registration form inside Sommone™ app.
Your 7 day free trial period will start and full access to Sommone™ app functions except "Transfer through tag" function. This function will only be possible to use if you purchase Sommone™ smart corkscrew.

After end of 7 day free trial period you will be asked to choose monthly or annual subscription if you would like to continue using Sommone™ app.
Life-time access option is also available for purchase.

HOW TO CUSTOMIZE YOUR USER PROFILE

Click on "Edit profile" to add information about yourself or the Restaurant / Company you represent.

 

HOW TO ADD WINES TO YOUR WINE LIST

Go to "Home" screen by clicking on "Home" inside the Gear menu in the upper right corner of the screen and click on "Home" or click the red "Sommone" circle on any screen inside the app.
Click "Wine" and then "Add Wine" and fill in the information in the fields. Please note that some of the fields are mandatory to fill in (marked with *) and some of the fields are optional to fill in and will only be shown in case you have entered the information in those fields in advance.
The Wine will end up in the "Wine list" automatically after being entered through “Add Wine”.

 

After choosing official awards and points of awards click "save" and wine will be added to your "Wine List". You can easily find it here:

 

HOW TO ADD WINES TO A WINE MENU

Go to "Home" screen by clicking on the Gear menu in the upper right corner of the screen or click the red "Sommone" circle on any screen inside the app.
Click "Wine" and then "Wine List" button. Press and hold on the Wine that you wish to assign to the "Wine Menu". In this case it can be a group of wines for the Wine tasting or a Wine package that is paired together with a Food serving menu of several courses.
You can also choose to assign the Wine to the certain table or seat where the guest is seated in your Restaurant / Venue / Tasting room.

 

Repeat the same procedure when adding other wine types to make a wine menu complete for a set wine package / wine menu that is going to be served for a longer period in your restaurant.
From here it can easily be transferred to the guests or assigned to a table or seat in your restaurant if you would like to send the food menu and other drinks that were served to a certain table.

 

HOW TO SHARE THE WINE LIST WITH THE GUEST

If you would like to share the Wines one by one with the guests that has enjoyed them during the visit to your Restaurant / Winery / Wine tasting venue, you can find each entered Wine in the "Wine list", press and hold on it in the list and available "send" options will show up.
You can also choose the Table or the Seat where the guest was seated by clicking on the "Table" button and from there choose to send the Wines, Food and other Drinks that were served at that table if you assigned the Wines, Food or other Drinks on that Table / Seat in advance.

 

 

HOW TO ADD FOOD TO YOUR FOOD LIST

The Dish will end up in the "Food list" automatically.

 

HOW TO ADD FOOD TO A FOOD MENU

Go to the "Home" screen by clicking on the Gear menu in the upper right corner of the screen or click the red "Sommone" circle on any screen inside the app.
Click "Food" followed by the "Food List" button. Press and hold on the Dish that you wish to assign to the "Food Menu". In this case it can be a Food serving menu of several courses or a group of Dishes that are served during the Wine tasting.
You can also choose to assign the Dish from the "Food list" or a "Food menu" to the certain table or seat where the guest is seated in your Restaurant.

 

HOW TO SHARE THE FOOD LIST WITH THE GUEST

If you would like to share the dishes one by one with the guests that have enjoyed them during the visit to your Restaurant / Winery / Wine tasting venue, you can find the dish in the "Food list", press and hold on it in the list and available "send" options will show up.
You can also choose the Table or the Seat where the guest was seated by clicking on the "Table" button and from there choose to send the Wines, Food and other Drinks that were served at that table if you assigned the Wines, Food or other Drinks on that Table / Seat in advance.

 

HOW TO ADD OTHER DRINKS TO YOUR OTHER DRINKS LIST

Go to the "Home" screen by clicking the Gear menu in the upper right corner of the screen and click on "Home" or click the red "SommOne" circle on any screen inside the app.
Click "Other Drinks" and then "Add Drink" and fill in the information in the fields. Please note that some of the fields are mandatory to fill in (marked with *) and some of the fields are optional to fill in and will only be shown in case you have entered the information in advance.
The other Drink will end up behind the correct type of the drink button automatically.

 

HOW TO SHARE OTHER DRINKS WITH THE GUEST

If you would like to share the other drinks one by one with the guests that have enjoyed them during the visit to your Restaurant / Winery / tasting venue, you can find the Drink inside the designated buttons for the certain Drink type. Press and hold on it in the list and options for sending will show up.
You can also choose the Table or the Seat where the guest was seated by clicking on the "Table" button and from there choose to send the other Drinks that were served at that table if you assigned those other Drinks on that Table / Seat in advance.

 

HOW TO TAP TO IPHONE OR ANDROID

To send the information to the guest’s Phone, tap the whole surface of the black tag on the front of the SommOne Corkscrew head until the pop-up field is visible on the screen of the Guests Phone. Please note that the front side (black tag side) of the SommOne corkscrew must touch the surface of the Phone completely parallelly and not with an angle.

The guest of the Restaurant or the Winery doesn´t need to download any App to their Phone. Only thing that must be assured is that the NFC is activated on their settings. This is usually enabled by default in most of the Phones.

iPhone model must be iPhone XR or newer. Older Phones can use NFC readers in the control center.
